jugglerMinnie “Boom-Boom” Mahoony was the world’s greatest juggling, sword – swallowing, tight – rope – walking, daredevil of the 1890s. She was also known to wrestle gators and climb skyscrapers. Rumor had it that she studied under Houdini, learned martial arts in Peking, and worked as a spy for the U.S. government. While flying biplanes in WWI, she disappeared somewhere over the Bermuda Triangle.

30 minute ink drawing, 5 hours color in PhotoShop.

She’s quite the overachiever!! This is another great design – I love the palette you’ve chosen – and the background is especially nice – but boom-boom steals the show – love her head to toe – she’s a great character, perfectly rendered! Love it Mike!!

Lets hear it for Boom-Boom! She is a voluptuous show-stopper. I enjoy all the detail you added, and the glow from the fire below lighting up her face really pushes this over the top. As always wonderful work!

Hey, thanks everyone! Your comments and compliments are more meaningful to me than I can say. Love you all!

This illo was fun to do! And “Boom-Boom” was fun to invent. Sorry if what I wrote made her sound too real. I figured the gator wrestling and government spy thing would give it away. :)
