Giant BabyGiant Baby!!! Did they find the baby or is it their baby? I don’t know yet but I think there’s a great story behind this. Like, they’ll need a herd of cows to feed it. How will they burp it? And that diaper… oh, maybe that’s best left unexplored…

21 day challenge - day 1 - hedgehog21 day challenge! Yes, I’m finally joining the masses that were spurred on by Gina Perry. I’m lazy (isn’t it enough that I’m taking the challenge?), so I lifted the following text from Chickengirl’s site: I’m joining in with a bunch of illustrators who are doing a creative challenge that started with the talented illustrator Gina Perry. Here is what she had to say:

“During Laurie Halse Anderson’s keynote at the 2008 NESCBWI conference last weekend, she gave us a challenge. Think you don’t have time? She does. At least 15 minutes. Pick a time of day and mark it in your dayplanner or calender. She mentioned that it takes 21 days to form a new habit. Also, pick a buddy or two to help you stay focused and on track. I challenge all of you who read this to join me.”

For more info about the challenge, please go here and here.

To start out this challenge I actually did this hedgehog in about an hour – 15 minutes drawing it and scanning, 45 minutes coloring in PhotoShop. What will I do tomorrow? We’ll see. 20 more drawings to go!
