Kali, the devourer of all things. The fearful, all-triumphing mother goddess. She wears the skulls of her enemies as a necklace and their arms as a belt. Cute, right? I know! I did this as sort of a contrast between cute and terrifying. I should point out the Kali is, in many respects, benevolent, so don’t judge her too harshly for her destructive ways.
This is Kali, the Little Golden Book version. The good folks at Hexanine were kind enough to include this in the strikingly beautiful book, Damn Good: Top Designers Discuss Their All-Time Favorite Projects by Tim Lapetino and Jason Adam. I must say, it’s hard to get excited about it, not because it isn’t cool, but because I just feel so humbled to be included in book with so much amazing talent. Thanks, you guys.
